I went into a new shop - UFUNDI in the East End of London this afternoon. I was drawn inside by the patterned textured basket ware. The shop is simple, no shop fit ax such, just an honest hands on approach using recycled materials, old crates, found objects. Their philosophy is relevant and important to the way the future needs to be. The items are handmade in small communities in Africa. These makers/artisans are known by their own names and they produce exceptional craftsmanship. So different to the faceless corporate engine which fuels most retail today - ufundi

Dear 50...my life right now is all about the kid🏀 Basketball Tournaments - Grassroots, 13u.
Bragging right now...my child is an all around player, he plays defense, makes turnovers happen for the other team, assists, scores and great attitude, so proud😊 . A little note about myself...I grew up supporting my brothers in AAU basketball, baseball and football. Watching multiple TVs with my Dad before split screen came out so we can watch pro sports. Because of the exposure to sports, I love watching college and pro basketball, college and pro football and professional baseball. So, it would only make sense I am an involved sports mom.
Not everything is as it seems. An end can be a beginning, a failure can be a gift, a fall can be a step in the right direction, and a wound can be an opening for love and light. But, in the middle of life’s battles, when the wounds are still fresh, this is hard to believe and difficult to remember. Sometimes it can feel like the wound is the truth and the source of our identity. I know. I know. I know. But the wound can also be place from which the greatest voice of love is trying to reach you. Stay there. Breathe. And let the light work it’s way to the center. There you might learn you are loved, you are worthy, and the wound was a sign of your strength, not a reminder of your weakness.

Hello friends! Please read and please share. I am working on a new film and have put in $5k of my own into the budget because of how much I believe in the project. We need to raise an additional $3k to round out the budget and I reluctantly decided to take to crowdfunding for this project.
No pressure at all. If you are ABLE to give, it would be greatly appreciated. Every dollar we raise over our goal will be donated to Feeding America to help feed the 1 in 8 Americans suffering from insufficient nourishment every single day.
The targeted shoot date is March 30th, the day I turn 30 years old. Not only will you supporting my dreams and passions with your donations, but you will also be giving me the best birthday this boy could ask for!
The film is a Western that takes place on the Arizona/California border in 1901. An LGBTQ friendly story that has never been told in a Western genre. I am so excited to make this film and am excited to share the experience with all of you!! #filmmaker#shortfilm#crowdfunding#film#movies#feedingamerica#artistcommunity#art#grassroots#community#donation#lgbt#lgbtq#californiafilm#artistdreams#astarisborn#western
